Services Available

      Computers / Internet

      Several computers are available for public use. CD-ROM products and software include Newsbank, encyclopedias, word processing, and more.
      The Internet is available for public use. Ask at Library about usage policy.

       

      Typewriter

      One study room is equipped with an electric typewriter for public use.

       

      Fax Machine

      Inquire at Circulation Desk for charges.

       

      Copy Machine

      Located at the front of the Library; coin operated; 10¢ per copy.

       

      Interlibrary Loan

      We are usually able to borrow any book or magazine article you need from libraries throughout the country. Receipt by our library ranges from a couple of days to a few weeks. The minimum charge per book is $1.00. Ask Librarian about charge for magazine and newspaper articles.

       

      IVAN

      The Indiana Visual Audio Network is a revolving collection of materials including videos, DVDs and CD-ROMs, which are available at the Library for a limited time.

        Videos and DVDs are loaned for a two-day period.
        CD-ROMS are loaned for a one-week period.
        Books on CD are loaned for a two-week period.

       

      Reference Questions

      We are happy to answer your reference questions either in the Library or, for short questions, over the phone or by e-mail (grefdesk@in-span.net).

       

      Workshops / Adult Programs

      The Library offers special workshops in such areas as crafts and computers. We also provide educational programs for adults such as author visits or one-person plays.

       

      VCR

      One study room is equipped with a VCR for public use.

      There is also a VCR available for       overnight loan.

       

      Children's Room

      Offers activities such as: infant lap-sit, story times, craft programs, and reading clubs.

       

      Study Rooms - 2

      One Study Room is equipped with a typewriter; the other has a television and VCR.

       

      Meeting Rooms - 2

      Our Meeting Room seats 75 while our Conference Room seats 12 to 15 comfortably.
